Tevereterno is delighted to announce a new exhibition by artist Kristin Jones (Founder, Artistic Director, and President emerita of Tevereterno), entitled Essere: A Project for Divinazioni.
Essere will open with a special program featuring the artist at Vicolo del Bologna, 39, Rome on Sunday, December 4 at 6:30 pm. Admission is free, and the public is cordially invited to attend.
The work was created for the exhibition TRASTEVERE, Intrecci d’arte e di vita, conceived and curated by Andrea Fogli, at the Museum of Rome in Trastevere with site-specific installations and open-air happenings in locations of cultural and historic significance throughout the district from November 18, 2016 through February 26, 2017.
With an exhibition of prints at the Libreria dei Ragazzi in Piazza di Santa Cecilia and Il Miraggio in Via della Lungara, a panel in the Museum of Rome in Trastevere, and an installation in Vicolo del Bologna, Jones’ project explores nature and culture, the image of the She-Wolf as symbol of the City of Rome and icon of its legendary origin, and the history and future of the Tiber River.
